This little one has kept her busy for the last 9 months...

Glitterati Beauty is getting a brand spanking new look!

It was nearly four years ago Glitterati Beauty was born and with a little love and nurturing it has just about out grown it's current location. So we are moving somewhere bigger and better just a few doors down.

In April we are set to open Glitterati Beauty Spa offering 5 rooms set in a tranquil, relaxing environment to escape the day to day stress, right in the heart of Weybridge.

The move will result in more space for our hair stylists to work their Glitterati magic with new basins and sections upstairs. We listened to your feedback and understand that at busy times the salon is a little too snug, so we look forward to revealing a whole new look for 2016! We thank you for your amazing support and just ask you to please bear with us as we undergo our transformation!

If you want to learn a quick way of achieving a fishtail look, (without actually doing the braiding) try this "faux" fishtail technique. Salon owner and Creative Director Enzo Bertolone of Glitterati Weybridge Surrey fills us in on how to create this look. "This style works best on unwashed hair to give it texture and edge," he says. "Loose twists will accomplish a more casual look, and also add an element of understated style. Tight twists make more of a fashion-forward statement and transition well from afternoon to evening."

Step 1: Begin with unbrushed hair. For added texture, try using Redken Quick Tease Hair Spray.

Step 2: Part the hair down the center using a tailcomb.

Step 3: Separate hair into two sections and begin twisting the ends toward the center of head.

Step 4: Secure the end of the twists together with a clear elastic.

Step 5: Use a few bobby pins to "seal" the twists together. Insert one vertically at the top of the twists and one in the middle.

Step 6: Finish with hairspray.

Herringbone, fishbone, fishtail—whichever name you prefer to call this sea-inspired braid, this fun and flirty style is easy-to-do. Try mixing this braid with other braiding techniques like a French Braid or Waterfall Braid.

Step 1: Spread Redken Guts 10 Mousse on damp hair and blow-dry while tossing it around with your hands or a vent brush.

Step 2: Pull all of the hair to one side, split into two sections. Fishtail braiding requires only two sections (not three, like a classic or French braid).

Step 3: Use your index fingers to pull out a half-inch section of hair from the area near the base of the ear on the right section of your head. Cross it over to the left section. (It's important to pull sections from underneath when you cross over to achieve that scaly look, says Enzo Bertolone Creative Director Glitterati Hair & Beauty Weybridge.)

Step 4: Repeat with a half-inch piece from the left section, crossing it over to the right.

Step 5: Continue adding half-inch pieces until you reach the ends, and secure with an elastic. Pull on the braid a bit to loosen it. The less perfect the better, it's all about the natural/effortless look! Make sure to leave out two equal pieces on each side of the face for the smaller braids.

For teen clients, prom is as important as a bride’s big day. These six prom-friendly celebrity styles will get your night started off right.

Braided Crown

TRY IT: “For actress Sarah Hyland’s look, prep hair with Redken Quick Tease,” says Enzo Bertolone Creative Director Glitterati Hair & Beauty Weybridge. “Distinguish the parting. Separate a slight section at the hairline and apply Redken Shine Spray l and refine. This section is a smooth section around the face that will wrap around the ears at the end. Divide the remaining hair into two sections down the back of the head. Start braiding the hair, directing the braid up the back of the neck making sure not to make the shape too wide at the bottom. Once braid has been completed at the top of the head, clip in place so you can recreate on the other side. With each side braided, wrap around the crown and over the ears and secure at the nape.”

Refined Chic

TRY IT: “To get actress Elle Fanning’s look, begin with cleansed and conditioned hair,” says Hazel Skinner Designer Stylist Glitterati Hair & Beauty Weybridge “Apply a small amount of Kerastase Elixir Ultime and distribute from roots to ends. Using a GHD Oval Dressing Cushion Brush and blow dryer with nozzle attachment, wrap-dry hair using the shape of the head to smooth until hair is dry. Use a mediumbarrel curling iron to curl ends. Finish with a bit of Kerastase Touche Finale mixed with Kérastase Short Mania Sculpting Paste

Half-Updo: Classic

TRY IT: “Start with Redken Guts 10 Mousse on damp hair for Disney star Ariana Grande’s finish,” says Maria Bertolone Artistic Director Glitterati Hair & Beauty Weybridge. “Blow dry hair with a GHD Size 4 round brush to build in volume. Once dry, separate strands and sweep to the side. Sprinkle Redken Powder Grip on the top and sides to build more volume, and add root lift and texture. Gather the front section of the hair into a high ponytail and smooth down with Redken Flex Move-Ability 05 . Using a 1¼-inch curling iron or wand, wrap small sections of the remaining hair around the wand in the same direction. Spray curls with Redken Quick Dry 18 for hold and separation.”

Soft Curls

TRY IT: “To recreate actress Ariel Winter’s look, begin by spraying GHD Root Lift Spray at the scalp area and the mid-lengths,” says Natalie Smith Stylist Glitterati Hair & Beauty Weybridge. When blow-drying, use a round brush and over-direct for maximum volume. When dry, use GHD Eclipes Irons to give a soft bend away from the face.” protecting the hair with Ghd Curl Hold Spray

Deep Side Part

TRY IT: Prep the hair with Kerastase Mousse Bouffante and blow dry with a round ceramic brush, giving the hair shape and wave below the jawline. At the scalp, while using tension, blow dry hair flat to the head and in the direction it will lay. For a more controlled look like singer Selena Gomez, “add a significant amount of Kerastase Forme Fatale ,” says Senior Stylist Regina Dias Glitterati Hair & Beauty Weybridge. “For extra body, add wave by using a large jumbo curling iron on a low setting. Spray each section with Kerastase Laque Couture for hold. Add Kerastase Gloss Appeal for shimmer throughout the top and on the ends for shine.

Lush Waves

TRY IT: To achieve actress Anna- Sophia Robb’s style, “blow dry with Redken Thicking Loation,” says Emma Hannan Master Stylist Glitterati Hair & Beauty Weybridge I. “Once hair is dry and smooth, separate and secure into three main sections. Starting at the nape, subsection using vertical sections, mist with Redken Fashion Work 12 Hairspray from about 8-10 inches away, then vertically wrap each sub-section on a Curling iron. While still warm, clip the vertical curl on base with a smooth duck bill clip. Work from the central back of the head forward, setting the curl uniformly vertical on base. On the top section, work from the natural parting and over-direct each section to the parietal ridge. Set with Redken Control Addict 28 Hairspray. Once cool, remove clips and brush from roots to ends with a boar bristle brush.”
