Beauty Therapist Careers

Hairdressing Apprentice
Would you like the opportunity to learn from a team of experienced hairdressers in a salon environment? We’re looking for enthusiastic and dedicated people to join us as hairdressing apprentices. Your training will be a combination of in-salon experience, specific theoretical and practical training sessions, and project work. Assessments will take place throughout your training programme to ensure that you pass all the relevant units.
Some of the subjects you will cover include:

Perfect shampooing, blow drying and finishing hair with product

Learning how to style, dress and finish hair
-
Understanding head shape and bone structure
-
Learning how to conduct a successful client consultation
-
Exploring good client care
-
Discovering the science of hair
Please note that during your apprenticeship, you will be expected to complete all elements of Hair Professional Apprenticeship Standards, including the Level 2 Diploma and any Functional skills tests required.

Qualifications Required
We are particularly interested in students who achieved a minimum of a grade C in Maths and English GCSE, however all candidates are considered.

TRAINING ACADEMY

WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR A VARIETY OF MODELS AT THE ACADEMY IN WEYBRIDGE, AND THERE ARE SEVERAL DIFFERENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR THIS; THE GLITTERATI APPRENTICE ACADEMY, THE GLITTERATI GRADUATE ACADEMY AND THE GLITTERATI ACADEMY COURSES & SEMINARS. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS.
Glitterati Apprentice Academy
Appointments available: Tuesdays at 9.30am or 1.30pm.
Services available: salon-friendly haircuts on long or medium hair (for example, basic trims or long layers), blow-dries, all-over colours* and root colours*.
Duration: please allow up 2-3 hours for a cut & blow-dry, and 3-4 hours for a colour.
Prices: no charge for blow-dries. £5 Cuts and from £15 for colours (includes blow-dry).
This would suit you if you are looking for a straightforward, simple cut or colour service

Glitterati Graduate Academy
Appointments available: Mondays - Saturdays open to close.
Services available: any style of cut & finish, blow-dries, and any colour service* including highlights, balayage, ombre and bleach.

Duration: please allow up to 2 hours for a cut & blow-dry, and 3-4 hours for a colour.
This would suit you if you are looking for a similar experience to what you would get in a salon, resulting in a beautifully done, wearable cut or colour, carried out by a newly qualified hairdresser (but taking a little longer than a salon appointment would).

Glitterati Academy Courses & Seminars
Appointments available: scheduled on a specific day according to our course schedule and requirements.
Services available: restyles, creative haircuts, colour changes and creative or eye-catching fashion colours.
Duration: this will vary according to the nature of the course.
Prices: no charge for any service.
This would suit you if you’re looking for something a little different, or you are open to having an unusual hairstyle or colour, or you are generally looking for creative inspiration!

* Please note, if you wish to book a colour service in the Academy, we advise you to come in a few days prior to your appointment in order to undergo a patch test and a consultation, to ensure we are able to deliver the colour service you are looking for.
